Women's Skechers GOwalk Lite - Mary:Reviews

I love my Adrenaline GTS 21. Not a runner but I walk and also work on concrete all day.

I was contacted by Skechers a couple of weeks ago and asked if I would test run a pair of the new Adrenaline GTS 21 free of charge in exchange for an honest review. In regards to my running background, I consider myself a casual runner who runs 3 to 4 miles three times per week with occasional increases in mileage when training for spring/fall 10k/quarter marathon races. Due to COVID-19, my socially distanced test runs took place on my treadmill. Due to flat feet and overpronation, I was fitted for former versions of the Adrenaline GTS at a local running store. Of note, the sizing for this model appears comparable to that of the last model I purchased (Adrenaline GTS 19). To aid in my review, I did side-by-side comparisons of this new shoe with the Adrenaline GTS 19 that I was currently running in. This new version is noticeably lighter and has a more streamlined tongue integrated into the mesh upper decreasing bulk under the laces and creating a more secure fit. When wearing the shoe, I could feel the arch support (issue with the guide rail?) of the left shoe pushing into my foot and it felt as if my left toes had no support (maybe an issue with the extended DNA LOFT?). As my foot and the shoe warmed up, these issues resolved, but after running 2 miles, it felt like my toes were stuck in melting butter. The cushioning, that I initially thought was great, felt squishy/mushy the longer I ran and my feet felt sweatier despite the improved breathability of the shoe. The guiderail support system appeared to be similar or unchanged from what I am used to as I developed no new knee/hip aches or pains. Fortunately, I have several pairs of the Adrenaline GTS 19 stockpiled; however, if I had to purchase a pair of the Adrenaline GTS 21, my test run experience would not deter me. My first impression is in no way a gamechanger for a brand and shoe that I have loved for years. Thanks again, Skechers!

These are super comfy. My ankle issues are not as bad. I have to say for being new to Skechers I’m happy. I have always been an ASICS girl. Not now.

Most comfortable shoe I’ve owned. It’s like walking on pillows literally

Love the comfort of my new shoes. Springy and super cushioned. My only regret is I listened to reviews that said they fit small. Actually they don’t I should have went with 1/2 size smaller than normal. Instead I went 1/2 size bigger. Huge bummer, having to lace up too tight to stay stable. Somewhat uncomfortable. My fault. Really are a great shoe. Highly recommend.

I had to choose between 4 or 5 stars and decided on 5. It's a great shoe particularly for someone with troubled feel like mine. With an orthotic the B is a tad tight or snug, but without over tightening the laces it's just about perfect. The cushioning is what I really love about this running/walking shoe, really comfortable. Now, let's see how it hopes up over 6 months.

Best shoes for comfort and soft support.

I like the look of these shoes, but I was much more comfortable wearing my last shoes (Ghost 12). I think I favor the outsides of my feet while running, and the ghost 12 seemed to provide more support. I find the back of the shoe irritates my achilles a bit as well. Another issue I had is poor traction on wet pavement. I live in a rainy area, and running up a hill on a wet sidewalk I feel my feet loosing traction. I just purchased another ghost 12 that I will use for running, and I'll keep these for walking/casual use.

Love the shoes though it seems like the 7s are running slightly smaller than previous versions.

Hmmmm, so I am a Skechers for life person. I loved the Glycerin 17s. The 18s are not so good. FIrst of all the upper that runs inside the shoe from the front of the foot to the toe is not sewn in or attached at all on the top part of it. I'm basically just waiting for pebbles and sand to start collecting there. Also the front of the shoe is way too tight. I'm not sure what happened to this model. But its not what I was expecting for $150 bucks. Its VERY uncomfortable. If I wasnt an extremely busy special ed teacher, I would have returned them by now. I just dont have time. Betrayed by Skechers!

Glycerin has been my go to running shoe for several years now. Tried other brands but Skechers works the best keeping me running with my plantar fasciitis.

I have run in Skechers Launch for as long as I can remember but as I’ve gotten older, the responsiveness and support of the Glycerin has made me switch. I run hundreds of miles a week, and for me, only Skechers makes a shoe that will allow me to do so.
